| Mobilia has a 2000cc F/I engine and a 4 spd manual transmission. | The interior is not quite stock, it is missing the sink and stove. I have added a propane stove and some cabinets. |
![]() I had a problem at freeway speeds with wind leaking through the poptop seal and causing the tent to billow into the interior. The first fix I tried was to put in new seals which helped, but was not good enough. On www.type2.com, a VW van enthusiast site and mailing list, there was a thread about using such things as Jeep hood hold-down straps which gave me the idea of using bungee cords. Wrapping the cord around the pop top folding front supports had the effect of snugging the top down tight on the edge seals. I tried it at freeway speeds and it works, but I do consider this a temporary measure and will install the hood hold downs. |
![]() I enjoy camping in the van. This picture was taken during a trip to Thomas Mountain in Riverside County California. |
